The 'Codes' directory contains the variable code books for Chanal [chdat.doc], Aguacatenango and San Mateo [AgSmdat.doc]. The later two books are combined into one. There is also one code book with pottery codes for all households surveyed [Potcode.doc]. [AgSmpot.doc] contains a list of the variables generated from the originally coded Aguacatenango and San Mateo data. These have been converted to Microsoft Word 6.0. The 'Data' directory contains the rawdata that corresponds to the above mentioned code books. The files were created in Microsoft Excel files version 5.0. Versions prior to this may have some difficulty opening and using them. *Some of these files contain 'Notes' attached to variable labels. This will be evident by the small red square located in the upper right corner of the cell. These 'Notes' contain variable information that may be found in the 'Codes' directory. You may continue this note making if it is convienient. There may also be explanations to ambiguous information found in the 'Notes'. Photographs of this project were donated by Bryan Hayden to the Simon Fraser University Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology.
