Abstract
TruShuffle is an automated playing card shuffler and dealer. It is intended for use with standard playing cards, or trading cards, or cards from board games. It distinguishes itself from existing card shufflers by including the process of dealing and by being unable to damage cards in the process of shuffling them.
TruShuffle utilizes a wheel-based design, such that cards are separated and then moved to one of multiple outputs, based on user choice. The primary innovation that allows TruShuffle to function is using a slow-retreating platform as part of the device input. This allows cards to drop down one-by-one, allowing safe individual card separation, rather than using rollers or mashing techniques.

Description
Undergraduate Engineering Science students are required to complete a group-based, two-course capstone sequence: ENSC 405W and ENSC 440. Groups form company structures and create an innovative product that potentially acts as a solution to a real-life problem. This collection archives the following assignments: proposal, design specifications, requirements specifications, and proof of concept.
