Abstract
Physiotherapy is a common method that people rely on for rehabilitating shoulder strains or recovering from shoulder surgeries. The universal long-arm goniometer is the most popular tool among physiotherapists to evaluate range of motion to assess and treat these shoulder injuries. However, after consulting multiple licensed practitioners, we have discovered that the goniometers are not ideal; a lack of accuracy and repeatability across different trials are just some of the issues affecting this tool. Because of this, physiotherapists can only do so much in providing a tailored recovery plan for their patients. At Croma Tech, we have developed S-ROM to alleviate this problem. S-ROM is a complete system that is capable of measuring a patient's shoulder range of motion in the clinic or at home with improved accuracy and consistency over multiple measurements. Using our product, patients will independently measure their range of motion with our wearable device. The measurements are transmitted to our desktop application, which displays and stores the information. These measurements are analyzed by the physiotherapist, who can observe trends in the patient's rehabilitation and adjust their recovery plan accordingly.

Description
Undergraduate Engineering Science students are required to complete a group-based, two-course capstone sequence: ENSC 405W and ENSC 440. Groups form company structures and create an innovative product that potentially acts as a solution to a real-life problem. This collection archives the following assignments: proposal, design specifications, requirements specifications, and proof of concept.
