Abstract
The Smart Mask Box aims to promote the usage of masks during a pandemic or even just the flu season by providing easy access to masks throughout public areas. The Smart Mask Box will eliminate the situation of people forgetting to wear a mask or choosing not to due to the lack of mask availability. The Smart Mask Box is intended to be sold to business owners in high foot-traffic areas such as malls, airports, supermarkets and even hospitals. The Smart Mask Box not only provides masks but also houses a sanitizer dispenser, making it an excellent, virus combatting and safety precaution promoting, public health device. The Smart Mask Box also houses a wide angle 130 degree view camera that facilitates mask detection and facial recognition software. This feature allows the Smart Mask Box to act as a security device for businesses while also providing analytics collected by the mask detection software regarding the number of shoppers entering the shop per day, the number of customers not wearing or wearing a mask and more.
