Abstract
The Bicycle Energy Measurement System is a product that measures the energy expended by the cyclist during an exercise session. This is done by an indirect measurement of the power based on the speed, acceleration, and inclination of the bicycle at any given moment. The BEMS is a device intended to provide detail energy expenditure information while allowing the cyclist to do so on a budget.
