Abstract
DGMasters Incorporated presents an automated and programmable medicine dispenser, the PillMaster. With the PillMaster, tens of thousands of elderly patients in nursing homes who experience life-threating errors in the medication system will be saved! Furthermore, the staff will not have to spend precious minutes grinding or cutting pills for elderly who cannot ingest whole pills easily.  The PillMaster will be designed to automate pill administration and distribution. The PillMaster will have a programmable clock and sensors that can remind users when to take their medication when it is ready, pill by pill. It will automatically dispense individual pills at pre-programmed times throughout the day, having the option of serving the pill as-is or splitting the pill into smaller pieces and then serving it to the user. The PillMaster can also use sensors to detect when pill amounts are low, and thus remind caregivers and nurses when to easily refill the patient's medication.
