Abstract: 

A growing concern in the world is the presence of certain air particulates. We aim to create an air particle detector that can analyze the shape, size and concentration of the particulates in the air. SpecTro is an industrial product that will aid industries, such as forestry, medicine, and construction, to detect damaging particulates in the air.

The basic idea is to use a light source and arrange several silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) detectors in an experimented geometry that measures the light reflected or diffracted through the particles in the air.
