Marjorie Griffin Cohen spoke on the successful recruitment of female and First Nations for the Vancouver Island Highway Project. She examines the culture of construction, which is generally a struggle for women and First Nations people to integrate into. As well, the experience of the workers and the political action that made it all happen were also addressed.
